The concept
The increasing number of vehicles has caused several environmental and social problems, such as cramped roads, limited natural resources and soaring fuel prices, which need to be addressed soon for the betterment of the future existence. Conceived by designer Cristian Polanco, the “Chevrolet N-Go” is a car concept that runs on electricity to reduce, rather eliminate, carbon emissions to make cities a better place to live in. Inspired by the nature, i.e.
Organic shapes of plants, the futuristic car responds to the necessity of personal mobility and presents a compact, aerodynamic design and technology of a sports car.
Where we are now?
Right now, the eco-friendly car is in its concept stage that will come into being by the year 2021 to help future commuters resolve space and environmental problems without sacrificing the luxury of personal vehicles.
What makes it stand out?
Featuring a body made in Thermoplastic Composite Materials, which is tougher, lighter and durable, and can be recycled to reduce the auto waste, the micro sports car also includes an ecological fabric made out of bamboo in its interior to make it an entirely sustainable vehicle. Running on a four wheel drive system wherein each wheel uses the Michelin active wheel technology and an individual motor, linked to the steering wheel by a wireless system, to control the direction, the concept care is as compact as it can be parked in small parking slots with ease.
Designed to achieve great aerodynamics, less resistance to air and a lighter weight, the N-Go maximizes the energy efficiency of the vehicle by a huge margin. Controlling the input and output speed system with the steering wheel, the N-Go also includes a touchscreen in the middle of the steering wheel to display all the functions of the car. Moving on airless tires, made using compressed polymers with an internal reinforcement structure, covered with rubber to resist to the asphalt and high speeds, the electric vehicle installs a voice recognition device to enhance the drive experience.
Where do we go from here?
The pace with which the number of vehicles are increasing on city roads means we need some highly refined and technologically advanced vehicles to tackle the environment and space problems in urban surroundings. Therefore, compact electric vehicles, such as N-Go concept, together with other sustainable means of public transportation become imperative to protect the environment for future generations, so they could breathe in the fresh air and live a healthy life.
