Electric vehicles | Reptile – Hybrid Roadster Concept By Arturo Arino : Designers these days are pretty keen on making electric vehicles that at some point will hopefully jump out of the CGI renditions and hit the streets. At least, that is what we are hoping for and if the trend in the last few years is any indication, then electric hybrid drivetrain is the way to go in the next few years. Clean energy has become popular enough in the mainstream design community to be integrated into vehicle build, but still is not powerful enough to go all on its own every time.
Designed by Arturo Arino, Reptile is an interesting concept creation that brings the race track onto the roads. Of course, we hope it does in a way that is safe for everyone. What is interesting about the design of Reptile is that it is powered by a hybrid electric engine that will give a clean drive when it is in the road mode. But when you need it to speed up, the additional oomph is provided by gasoline power.
Your normal daily cruise in the Reptile will be completely emission-free, as it can handle the daily drive without any help from the fossil fuel-powered part of the vehicle. But in case you need to rev it up, there is additional help at hand. There is also regenerative technology, which adds charge as your wheels spin along.
