Self Balancing Unicyclea with Battery-powered | SBU V2.0

The folks at Focus Designs have announced the arrival of SBU V2.0 – an all-new, completely redesigned, electric, self-balancing unicycle. Now integrating an advanced heavy-duty in-wheel alloy hub motor, the SVU produces more than 1000 watts of power. The gyro stabilized, accelerometer-driven, LiFePO4 battery-powered unicycle is extremely easy to ride.

Where the SBU controls the forward and backward balance, the rider needs to take care of left and right balancing. The rider leans forward or backward to control the speed, speed up or stop. There is no need to pedal; in fact, there are no crank arms, just foot pegs. The SBU will not ever allow the rider to topple over since it utilizes advanced electronics including accelerometers and gyroscopes with sophisticated balancing algorithms for staying upright.

The SBU also utilizes regenerative braking to recover and store energy when the rider slows down or goes downhill. Thus, it delivers higher miles-per-charge on in-town riding. The safety features include strategically placed foot pegs that are only a few inches off the ground, and a superior aluminum frame and deluxe gel seat. For starters, the charging port, located on the High Power Connector unit, is very low power (38.4VDC to be exact). Here's the SBU V2.0 | Self Balancing Unicyclea with Battery-powered :
